I'm so happy to finally have these lovely photos blogged for all to see!
Kamille & Matt's engagement session was the sweetest and some of the most fun I've ever had with a couple! I love these two because they know, love and respect each other so wholeheartedly and they're SO READY for this next journey as husband and wife! They are also hilarious and ensure that a good level of sass remains in their relationship. Love it.
We strolled around St. Boniface, Winnipeg on a beautiful snowy day and captured some beautiful photos around the Universite de St-Boniface, College Louis-Riel, St. Boniface Cathedral & Fort Gilbraltar!
Alright, that's enough from me, check out this love story for yourself below!! xo
Let me tell you the story that led up to Mike & Mercedes' perfect day
Mike and Mercedes met one faithful evening at, wait for it, Whiskey Dix.
So yes, good things can come from a girls' night out!
The story goes that Mercedes' friends dared her to use a cheesy pick up line on the first guy she saw. She quickly scanned the room, saw a tall guy wearing a Carhartt jacket, walked straight up to him and said, "Hey, why don't you take your jacket off and stay a while?"
This man was Mike. Little did he or Mercedes know that she had just met a diehard Roughriders fan from Saskatchewan and that seven short years later she would call him her husband!
Mike & Mercedes were an adventure from my first day meeting them. Their engagement session consisted of riding quads and riding away from bears, yet their wedding day was just as it ideally should be: focused on the two of them.
Their day was so perfectly planned out. Mike met Mercedes and myself at the church and after a beautiful first look, we set off for photos around the beautiful grounds in Cooks Creek until their guests started to arrive. Their wedding ceremony was beautiful, family photos followed and then off to Bel Acres to party!
Everything from the meal to the speeches was heartfelt and everyone felt the love in the room from these two beautiful souls.
Brooklyn was one of my first friends when I got to high school. We bonded over Taylor Swift and calling boys during Friday night sleepovers. (Who didn't?) Fast forward a few years and a few phases and here I am, photographing her and Ryan's Big Day!
Ryan and Brooklyn met in high school, he volunteered to coach her wrestling team at the time (badass, on both levels). Fast forward some time later, fate brought them to meet again and rekindled that initial spark! Rumour has it, it's all thanks to the Best Man, and the rest is history!
Brooklyn and Ryan's wedding day was one of pure intent and devotion to their uniting in marriage and to the rest of their lives.
Weddings are often surrounded by stress and thoughts rushing through your head at a mile a minute, but there was definitely a sense of peace on this day and remembrance of why they were there.
There was a great sense of friendship and "tribe goals" noted throughout this day. Brooklyn and Ryan had an amazing wedding party to help them celebrate and organize this beautiful day. Those qualities shown on their wedding day were so clear into how these people would play in to the rest of their life together.
Thank you, Brooklyn & Ryan. Thank you for letting me be a part of this spectacular day!
